Hong Kong Harbor Skyline

Hong Kong’s waterfront fills this drawing with tall buildings, patterned windows, and geometric towers backed by hills. A traditional sailboat and a ferry sit on the rippling harbor, while a lamp post and railing frame the foreground. Clouds and small birds dot the sky beneath large Hong Kong lettering and the words “Pearl of the Orient.” A five-petaled flower with tiny stars decorates the upper corner.

This detailed design suits teens who enjoy taking their time with narrow spaces and repeating architectural patterns. Try colored pencils for the window grids and railing, using cool blues and grays for the buildings with warmer colors on the sails. Leave a few windows pale to add contrast, and choose a bold shade for the large outlined lettering.
