About this coloring page

A large, rounded number 4 fills the upper part of this sheet, with four apples arranged below. Each apple has a short stem and a single pointed leaf. Bold black outlines, wide open spaces, and a plain background keep the drawing simple for children ages 3–5. There are just a few smaller areas in the stems and leaves to color.

Try red, green, or yellow for the apples, with green leaves and brown stems. A bright blue number 4 can stand out above the fruit. Crayons are a handy choice for filling the large shapes, and the finished sheet can be displayed on the fridge.

Best paper

Standard printer paper works; 24–32 lb or cardstock is nicer for markers.

Printer settings

Choose “Fit to page” and turn off two-sided printing so ink doesn't bleed through.

Supplies

Chunky crayons or washable markers are easiest for small hands.
