About this coloring page

An uppercase A and lowercase a fill the top of this simple alphabet sheet, with a large apple underneath. The apple has a curved stem, one pointed leaf, and a short curved line along its side. Bold outlines and wide open spaces keep the design easy for little kids ages 3–5, with only a few smaller areas around the stem and leaf.

Try red or yellow for the apple, green for the leaf, and brown for the stem. Use chunky crayons to fill both letters with a matching color, or give each letter a different shade.

Best paper

Standard printer paper works; 24–32 lb or cardstock is nicer for markers.

Printer settings

Choose “Fit to page” and turn off two-sided printing so ink doesn't bleed through.

Supplies

Chunky crayons or washable markers are easiest for small hands.
