About this coloring page

An uppercase X and lowercase x fill the top of this simple alphabet drawing. Below them sits a xylophone with five wide bars, with two crossed mallets beside it. The rounded letters and bold outlines give little kids ages 3–5 plenty of open space to color, while the instrument has a few smaller edges and gaps to fill.

Try a different bright crayon color on each xylophone bar, then use matching colors for the two letters. Brown or orange could work for the frame and mallet handles. Keep the background white to let the colorful letters and instrument stand out.

Best paper

Standard printer paper works; 24–32 lb or cardstock is nicer for markers.

Printer settings

Choose “Fit to page” and turn off two-sided printing so ink doesn't bleed through.
